The most common questions customers have about our service

What is your pricing?

We charge a flat hourly rate of $50/hour per labor with NO additional fees within our service areas.

The clock starts whenever the Fortex Moving arrive at the start location and stops whenever your move is completed.

2 helpers We have a 2 hours minimum charge policy.

2 movers + truck We have 3 hours minimum charge policy which includes travel time, in case your move takes less then 3 hours of the Total Time. Then our Rates are hourly based with 15 min. increment charge policy.

Are there any hidden fees?

No there are never hidden fees. Any service that you are requesting through the website is all you will need to pay for.

Are you insured?

Absolutely – we are licensed and insured!

How long does it take movers to load?

On average, two experienced movers can load a 10′ truck in 1-2 hours, a 16’ truck in 2-3 hours, and a 26′ truck in 4-5 hours. Access conditions, like stairs and how far away the truck is from your home will likely affect how long loading will take.

Do they bring a truck?

They can. There are two types of orders you can book through Fortex:

* Labor Only (where you provide the truck)

* Movers + Truck

Take a look at both options and see what works best for your situation!

Can the Service Provider drive my truck?

Absolutely not. If you booked them as labor only through Fortex Moving, you may not hire them to drive the truck you provide.

travel time ?

Time starts when your moving team leaves our storage facility (33 Traveler St, Boston, MA 02118) and ends when they return to the storage facility.

Do they bring furniture pads?

For labor only moves the helpers do not bring nor provide furniture pads. We suggest getting them from your rental truck or storage container provider, or you can also get them from a home improvement store such as Home Depot® or Lowes®.

For Movers + Truck orders, the movers will provide all furniture pads needed.

Can they disassemble/reassemble furniture?

Fortex Moving charge hourly. If you’d like to have them disassemble/reassemble furniture, make sure to put this in your order details and account for the extra time needed. Before the job date, make sure to discuss what tools are needed.

Do they bring moving equipment (dollies, ropes, tie-downs)?

Yes, we provide Dollies, ropes and tie-downs.

Do they bring boxes or packing supplies?

Fortex Moving, not bring expendable packing supplies (like packing tape, wrap, boxes, etc.) However, you can always request them directly with your Fortex after booking.

Can I hire movers to load just my heavy furniture?

Yes! Unlike traditional moving companies, move helpers can be booked by the hour. This allows you to pay for only the help you need.

what is full service?

This hourly rate includes:

· mileage

· gas (no fuel surcharge)

· moving blankets

· all your furniture wrapped in moving pads

· furniture disassembling and reassembling at no charge (if necessary)

· dollies

· general liability insurance

· no extra charge for stairs
